NFL Week 17
Big bounce back week for us, as we went 5-1 last week to bring our season record to 54-42, a 56.3% winning percentage. We’re also up about 5 units, which is huge going into the last two weeks of the regular season.
Fantasy championships are this week, good luck to any of you still in the hunt. This week is sort of like a bye week with all the games being played between Wednesday-Saturday. Most of those games have unfortunately been blowouts, but there’s still plenty of matchups left that should be entertaining.
With only twelve picks left to make, let’s see what looks good this week.
Spreads+Totals (3-0 last week, 25-23 for the year)
1. Buccaneers/Lions ML parlay (-110): First play this week features two NFC teams looking to secure their playoff position. The Lions are obviously the riskier pick, but I like their chances of getting revenge from last year’s playoffs. The Niners just aren’t what we’ve come to expect. The Bucs should have no problems at home against the Panthers, although the spread is too large for my comfort.
2. Packers ML at Vikings (-105): My philosophy in these games is to pick the team with the better quarterback, and Love is way better than Darnold in my opinion. Yes, Darnold is having a huge year, and the Vikings are at home, but the Packers are equally as hot and also have the better coach.
3. Commanders/Bills ML parlay (-122): Our second money line parlay features two playoff home teams. The Commanders are playing the Falcons in Penix’s first road game. The Bills have the Jets, enough said there.
Props (2-1 last week, 29-19 for the year)
1. Jayden Daniels over 30.5 passing attempts (-115): In the last two weeks, props get tougher as the matchups start to matter less than the incentives for players and teams. In the case of Daniels, he’s trying to lock down offensive rookie of the year, and has a good matchup to do it. He has 6 straight games, and 7 out of 8 games, with 30 or more pass attempts.
2. Mike Evans over 5.5 receptions (-145): Mike Evans is incentivized to continue his 1,000 yard streak and he needs 182 yards in these last two games to do it. He had 8 catches in the first game against the Panthers, and there’s little reason to think he can’t repeat that effort this week.
3. Josh Allen over 1.5 passing touchdowns (Even): Allen is trying to win the MVP, and with how dominant Jackson was this week, I’m betting Allen comes out slinging against the Jets.
