Since 2000, three NFL teams won their division with a losing record and thereby secured a home playoff game. It is almost a certainty to happen again in the NFC South (and possibly in the AFC South). The three teams to win their division : 2014 Panthers (7-8-1), 2010 Seahawks (7-9) and the 2020 Commanders (7-9). Could we see a 10-loss team win their division? The Bucs are currently leading the NFC South at 6-8. Considering they’ve lost 3 of 4, there is a good chance. As an aside, they are 3-10-1 against the spread this year.
