Sacramento Kings +600 – The Kings have started the season with 3 tough games losing late to the Warriors 125-130, Clippers 111-109, Blazers 115- 108. Showing me – This team finally has the talent in place not only to compete with the big boys but to make a run to the playoffs behind Fox and Sabonis with the rookie Keegan Murray. They have added shooting by going out and getting Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, creating depth with Davion Mitchell, Terence Davis, Richaun Holmes coming in on the 2nd unit. This team can go as far as the borderline superstar De’Aaron Fox can take them. Through 3 games he is avg almost 32 pts, 6 reb, 7 assist a game. I believe he is the man that can lead this team back to the playoffs after a 16-year drought.
Washington Wizards +205 – The Wizards are finally built to win with the baby big 3 in Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma, Kristaps Porzingis. Might not be as sexy as some of the other teams in the east. But they have added Will Barton and Monte Morris from the Denver Nuggets to give them an unselfish starting 5 that can shoot the ball and create miss matches on pick n rolls and play inside out. I worry about this team defensively, but the offense should be enough to get them to the playoffs. They have some depth off the bench, but I think they need to make a mid-season trade for a veteran leader to come in with the 2nd unit and keep the balance.
