Until last night’s game I thought Jalen Hurts was an athletic runner with a below average arm that was lucky to have a talented roster around him. Truth be told I thought he was the only piece holding the Eagles back from being a great team.
I’m thinking I might have been wrong.
The combination of him clearly taking a big leap forward in the off-season and the Eagles landing star receiver A.J. Brown has Philly looking like an early Super Bowl contender.
After the Vikings easily handled the Packers in week 1 many (I’m guilty) felt bullish on Minnesota rolling into Philadelphia.
The Hurts led Eagles whooped the Vikings wire to wire with superior play on both sides of the ball. Hurts racked up 333 passing yards completing 26 of 31 passes, one for a TD. He also ran for 57 yards and 2 TDs. He was all over the field.
It’s early, but I officially have my eye on this Eagles team now.
Next up: Eagles at Commanders. Eagles -280 to win.
