Aaron Judge can’t be silenced this season. Last night he hit his 56th and 57th home runs on the year. He is chasing down the American League home run record of 61 set by Yankee Roger Marris. 61 is also the home run record for players that aren’t suspected of steroid use to break the record (Bonds, McGuire, Sosa). That however is an article for another time. Let’s just enjoy what Judge is doing, it’s been a lot of fun to watch.

Yankees came into Fenway on Tuesday night after back-to-back big wins against Tampa. The Bronx Bombers still do not have their full lineup back, but a big group of the reinforcements are on the way in the coming weeks. Maybe they will find their first half form in time for an October run.

Tuesday’s pitching matchup was Cole vs Pivetta. Neither was at their sharpest, but it was an entertaining back and forth affair. Cole, while he did have his home run bug-a-boo creep up again, did at least have 10 Ks to keep the game close.

Bogaerts hit a big go ahead home run in the 6th inning, only for Judge to save the day again in the 8th with a moon shot over the Green monstah and tie it up.

In the top of the 11th Gleyber Torres mashed a huge bases loaded 2 out oppo gapper that cleared the bags to make it 7-4. In the bottom of the frame the Sox responded with 2 runs of their own making it a 1 run game, Devers struck out to end the game and a narrow victory for the Yanks.

Next up: Yankees vs Red Sox – Wednesday @ 5:10pm Mountain Time.
